Anna Reisener was born in 1993 in Northern Germany where she grew up in a cantor's family. Her parents and the surrounding of a rich musical life had a great impact on her passion for early music. Beside touring with Youth Orchestras as a cellist, she always loved singing and took part in major Youth Choir projects.
At the age of 15 Anna became a member of the Youth Baroque Orchestra Bachs Erben which has a serious approach to historical informed performance practice.

Prof. Viola de Hoog at the University of the Arts Bremen inspired her to  specialize in early music in her Bachelor degree and since 2013 Anna was studying baroque cello with her and since 2015 Viola da Gamba with Hille Perl as second instrument. Her studies were generously supported by "Deutschlandstipendium", which is one of the most regarded scholarships in Germany. Anna took part in masterclasses with Gaetano Nasillo, Bruno Cocset, David Watkin, Jaap ter Linden, Werner Matzke and Roel Dieltiens. She further developed her chamber music and orchestra skills in projects with inspiring leading musicians such as Veronika Skuplik, Rachel Podger, Christian Beuse, Margaret Faultless and Lars Ulrik Mortensen. As a member of the European Union Baroque Orchestra 2016 she was giving concerts in important European concert halls. She plays frequently with orchestras like the Kammer Sinfonie Bremen, Bremer Barockorchester, Elbipolis, Bach Akademie Luzern and La Festa Musicale Hannover. In addition, she occasionally forms the orchestra for concerts in the Ratzeburger Dom.

Anna is now making her Master of Historical Perspective in Amsterdam, which includes modern and baroque cello (with Gideon den Herder), which gives her the opportunity to devote herself to the entire cello repertoire.
